A modern interpretation of Wild West culture.
What is Mojave?
I noticed a new design style in interior and graphic design. Characterized by desert and western themes, but with modern design integrated throughout, I have named this developing style New West. I designed Mojave, an electric guitar, to bring these elements to life in industrial design.

Concepts and Prototypes
Mojave now…
Mojave is designed with New West in mind. The shape is reminiscent of a classic hollow body guitar, but with modern electric guitar elements. The colors and materials are intended to invoke the desert in the mind of the viewer as well as the player. The brass plate is to resemble that of a dobro, a traditional steel guitar. Brass tubing connecting the two parts of the body have been taken from the tubular steel of mid century furniture.
